Three practical steps to get more value from a health checkup

A health checkup should lead to clarity — not just a stack of reports.

In this short video, Dr. Haiyan Ying of Parkway Shanghai Hospital, a Kaiyan partner hospital, shares three practical steps patients can take after a health checkup to get more value from it.

For cross-border patients, follow-up can easily become fragmented. Test results may sit in different systems, recommendations may come from multiple providers, and the next steps may need to continue after the patient returns home.

Kaiyan helps keep that process connected. We support patients by organizing relevant medical records, tracking follow-up timelines communicated by their treating clinicians, and coordinating additional appointments or specialist referrals when requested. This helps preserve continuity between care received abroad and care at home.

Kaiyan does not independently interpret test results, recommend treatment, or make clinical decisions. Those responsibilities remain with licensed physicians and medical institutions.

Our role as a Healthcare Orchestrator is to help ensure that records, clinician recommendations, and follow-up plans do not get lost between providers, institutions, or countries — because continuity of care should not end when the flight home begins.
