What does longevity really mean?

Alan once thought longevity was mostly about supplements, tests, and new technologies. His encounter with Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai introduced another perspective: health is not only something we address after a problem appears. It is also something we build — through awareness, prevention, daily habits, and a better understanding of the body over time.

At Kaiyan, we do not believe that one medical tradition has every answer. Nor do we believe longevity should be reduced to a collection of treatments, products, or fashionable interventions.

We believe responsible health planning begins with the whole picture: evidence-based medicine, appropriate preventive care, individual context, and access to trusted professionals across different healthcare systems.

This video is part of our exploration of how different medical cultures think about health, prevention, and living well over the long term.
